image I have two Tottenham mad fans in my house, and even my youngest son, a Man U supporter, cheered on Spurs’ terrific 5-1 victory over Arsenal last night – the first time they have beaten their arch rivals in nine years.

So you can imagine we had a very happy house last night as one ball after another hit the back of the net – and at the right end.

My husband sometimes lodges with a former Arsenal scout and coach and this would have been a very testing time for their friendship had they watched this match together.

However, the disappointing news is that my husband decided not to renew their Tottenham season tickets as an economy drive and they will now be unable to see their heroes play at Wembley.

*My mother-in-law comes from Tottenham, hence the reason they support Spurs. She was a land army girl and fell in love with one of the locals after being sent to the Fens to do her bit for the war, and never went back.
