There is no such thing as a routine day in my house. After the whirl of the last few weeks working with Conservative candidates on the Euro election, I was looking forward to catching my breath again.
However, I shall be spending the next two days with David at Addenbrooke’s Hospital where he has to have surgery on a broken bone in his hand caused by a fall at 2.30 am after a night out with his uni pals. Boys!!!
I hope to call in at Cambridge Toastmasters this evening as I am evaluating a speech. I like its format – praise, recommendation and praise – it’s a technique that is useful for many daily experiences. Not sure if Alan Sugar uses it though.
I will catch up with soon….
Kids !
Good luck with all that. (As Frazer would say)
we never did get out for that walk…. and now iam off on my travels for 3 whole wonder weeks 🙂
Kevin, I meant to say in my post that David came home plastered – literally! But he has learnt to text with his left hand.
The op is tomorrow and we have to be in the hospital at 7am sharp. Hopefully, it will just be day surgery.
Sally, we will have that walk when you return from your wonderful holiday. I shall look forward to hearing about it. Do give my love to Geoff.
Good luck to David with the surgery.
Oh dear. I hope it all goes well Ellee.
I can’t believe my two never had broken bones, but they did have lots of other accidents requiring emergency and even hospitalization.
Lucky it didn’t happen last week.
I hope the surgery goes well.
Greetings from Vienna!
I have been away during the elections and have missed the fun, but your blog is the first news I have had about the Looney party.
I think Britain needs to get its act together if we to avoid becoming a laughing stock in Europe and the rest of the world.
I hope all goes well for your son Ellee.
Ellee: My sincere best to David for healing!
Hope all goes well for your boy.
Praise, recommendation and praise? Seems a good recipe for life generally, Ellee. I could do with some of that.
