Should we worry about Prince Harry having some action in Afghanistan and firing at the Taliban? After all, he didn’t sign up to sit behind a desk all day.
My only concern is that his presence could attract a threat from terrorists and put the lives of his colleagues even more at risk.
Other than that, we should let him get on with doing “his bit” alongside his comrades and serve his country.
However, I’m not sure if that is going to be possible now news of his presence there has been made public.
Why let the ” Royals” join the forces if they wont let them do the job they are trained for….our money is spent on training them too !!
I still get the idea he is ‘playing at soldiers’.
The reality is that they can’t really live a “normal” life. The very fact that he’s there puts everyone else at risk, as you’ve said, which generally doesn’t happen to anyone else. Even when Royals say they want to be normal and/or keep a low profile, everyone knows who they are and treats them slightly differently.
He clearly wants to be out there and do his job. If he’s a decent leader then the troops he’s in charge of will take any “greater risk” in their stride and probably see it as a challenge. It seemed mad to me to have him in the Army and yet protect him just because he’s a member of the Royal Family. Let him fight – it’s what he wants to do.
Yes, I feel he could be a target.
Now Ellee, onto another important matter. You still haven’t sent the photo for the nightwear parade, which the other ladies now have done. Will you join the good cause? 🙂
I think it is just fine. How is anyone going to know it’s him anyway unless he’s captured. If he’s in the army he should be allowed to fight otherwise don’t accept him in the first place.
I feel sorry for him because he can’t win either way.
Prince Harry should be sent home immediately now that his presence has been unearthed. What he has done is fantastic but he cannot stay there, as he will become a target and endanger other people’s lives.

Trust the Americans to blow his cover – they seem to muck up everything they touch.
Perhaps this whole story should have been kept under wraps!
I wouldn’t mind betting that the “leaking” of this information was carefully planned – and I’d like to know how much was spent getting him out.
Well, he’s home safe now. But WHO did leak this story? That’s the real problem cuz he was doing what he trained to do and what he truly wanted to do. As Sally mentions, why have the royals in the armed forces if they’re not going to be allowed to do their job?
We shouldn’t be in Afghanistan full stop.
But yes. Our Royals should be treated no differently to other forces personnel.
