I admit I’m not too good on the white knuckle rides, and I screamed the whole time on Disney’s Space Mountain, but I would still love to join passengers on Virgin’s Galactic space mission.

Princess Bea is fortunate enough to have a super rich boyfriend who has invited her along on the £100,000 commercial flight which is launched in 2008. It only last 3 1/2 hours, but would be the most unforgettable experience of a lifetime.

This would make Bea the first royal to travel into space, though I don’t somehow see her going through with it, her life seems quite fickle, and the romance may not last that long, and who knows what her parents will think about it, after all, she is fifth in line to the throne.

Btw, does anyone know what she is actually doing at the moment? Is she working? These elusive details need adding to wikipedia if anyone has the answers. It seems unlikely she will be able to pay for her own ticket if she is jobless.

So who are these 13,500 people who have already signed up? Will there be any free flights for bloggers to visit cyberspace – hint, hint – to report back on the awesome sight of planet Earth? Has Captain Picard signed up? Will it be a bumpy side, or too good a thrill to miss? Would you book a ticket if you could afford it?

Update: If nourishing obscurity has his way, I will indeed be launched into space. And this is what I look in a space suit!
