One would imagine that the Latin screen legend Sophia Loren would be on all the A-lists for star studded parties in her home country.

So I can understand why she was disappointed not to have been invited to Rome’s first Film Festival at the weekend, the organisers somehow simply forgot and she declined their last minute invite.

Checking out her website, you can see that she uses a very expensive looking company for her branding, I certainly wonder what CMG Worldwide has to say about this.

They should have their finger firmly on all the pulse of all events that would raise the profile of stunning Sophia, which she is still actively promoting judging by her web. They should have realised an oversight had been made and acted on it.

Had I been in their shoes, I would have called the film festival organisers and discreetly raised the issue to spare any misunderstandings or injured feelings on both sides.

However, I would have also advised Sophia to graciously accept the last minute invite, I would have reminded her that her public still adores her, that she owes it to them to turn up.

I hope this has taught Sophia that using the biggest company to represent you is not always the best, CMG Worldwide clearly lacks the personal touch that always makes a big difference.
