I’m going to put my walking boots on shortly and feel the fresh air on my face. Blogging is bad for a girl’s complexion, and all that sitting in front of a screen doesn’t help to preserve a shapely posterior either.
So I am shortly heading off for an invigorating weekend of country walks, fresh air and sunshine, maybe some swimming and sailing too, in the neighbouring county of Suffolk. I shall be staying in Aldeburgh with friends and it will be my first blog-free weekend since I started in February.
I managed to get some practise in last night by leading a walk around Wicken Fen for my local Ramblers. I was amazed to see 23 eager beavers turn up, all salt of the earth types – and I was very gentle with them.
Thanks Liz for helping with the navigating, I left my glasses behind and could not read the directions. I’m pretty hopeless with a map, as anyone who knows me will vouch.

Beautiful swans :o)
No problem with navigating! I just asked a few other ‘ramblers’ and they seemed to know the way!!
What a lovely walk we had and a nice drink in the pub after……
Hope you had an invigorating weekend.
Love Liz
sounds fun
I’m rather fond of my VDU ‘tan’…..
My complexion had a pale pallor when I left and I returned with a healthy glow, it was a really invigorating break.
Pleased you are getting into training reqdy for the big one, I`m browining qll over nicely here in Ile du Levant
Geoff, good to hear from you during your hols, you certainly look very relaxed and brown. Hope you using lots of SP40 and drinking loads of water.
We are having a heatwave here at the moment, though I prefer to keep covered up when the sun is as intense as this, I’m not really a sun worshipper, but I like its feelgood effect.
I don’t think there will be a “big one” for me, not by your standards after completing the Penine Way.
Hi, thanks for a lovely evening.
Great walk, great company! (exceeded my expectations).
If there’s a next time, you don’t have to be so gentle 😉

Anonymous, I am planning a more arduous walk in September and hope you and Tracey can make it, though it will be on a week day. I am happy to repeat it during an evening/weekend for a select few and hopefully I will this time be able to join you in the pub afterwards.
