Sir Clive Sinclair has designed a new electric vehicle following his C5 battery model which flopped after it was launched in 1985. It had a top speed of 15 miles per hour and was intended to transform the way p
eople travelled, but ended up losing its inventor £6 million.
Undeterred, the entrepreneur has unveiled his the X-1, which is similar to a battery-powered bicycle with a battery that is used to power an elector motor when required. It will go on sale next summer, but I’m not sure how its performance compares.
I always wished I had been brave enough to try the C5, but felt it looked too silly. If only he had used this technology on a more conventional look which would make the vehicle easy to park. And will his perky wife be using it to get about? Still, I admire Sir Clive’s resolve to try again. Only time will tell if he was right.
Just one more thought, where would I put my bags of shopping?

Have you seen the totty that bald-as-a-coot Sinclair chap pulls ?
I’ll have one … in red please !
Kevin, yes, I have, and keep dreaming ….
Aaron, me too.
