I wonder what the feisty Heather Brooke would do in my shoes. I still haven’t had a response to a Freedom of Information request I submitted on 1st November last year. I’m getting fed up with this unexplained delay after being told I would hear by the 31st November.
It involves a very high profile woman whose life ended tragically and, on the face of it, I can think of no reason for secrecy – unless someone has something to hide.
I’ve phoned the FOI office and spoken to the case worker at least three times, keeping copious notes of his promises to deal with it straight away; the last promise was that I would hear by the end of last week.
Silence.
You should have smelled problems when they gave you 31st November as a date…
I am sure there is a complaints procedure that you can use if you haven’t got satisfaction from your FOI request…
Really though don’t you love bureaucracy? I mean there are so few things in this life that are truly consistent. (please use voice heavy with sarcasm)
Hey, ho, I had a response today saying they couldn’t help me and referring me elsewhere where I expect I will be faced with another brick wall!
comes as no surprise at all
No can’t say I’m surprised either but I do hope you hear something soon. How FRUSTRATING!
