image The contract for my mobile imagephone comes up for renewal soon and I would like to swap it for  either a Nokia N96 or Apple iPhone.

I always kicked myself for not getting the Nokia N95 when I had the chance, and now it has been improved on with this slick little beast which has an impressive 16gb memory. The N96 also downloads BBC iPlayer, has a 5.0 megapixel camera and a pretty cool built-in GPS, as well as a web brower.

But now I have an Apple MacBook, I love Apple. Should I be brand loyal and would it be advantageous to have a model which is totally compatible to my laptop? It has pretty much the same features as its competitor, but cannot download BBC iPlayer – yet. Maybe soon? Should that influence my decision? However, I have heard it can’t always pick up a great connection.

A big plus for the Apple, which looks stunning, is that I can book one-to-one tutorials at their Cambridge store and be shown how to use it fully which would be really helpful as these phones are virtually hand-held computers.

Decisions, decisions. And I imagine I won’t be the only one faced with this choice either.
