I’ve had a fantastic week and am in such an excited whirl right now, I wish you could see me.
I signed a PR contract with a new client at the beginning of the week to write about their pioneering plant breeding research projects. My work with them so far has received very positive media coverage, and at a national level too. And that makes me feel terrific because I am very dedicated and loyal to my clients and want to deliver 110%. And I really enjoy it too because I believe their work is so important.
And then this afternoon I was told that a sample chapter I submitted to a literary agent for a book I would like to write has been eagerly approved by him with these words:
I’ve now had a chance to read and I’m afraid I don’t like it………..I love it! I think you have done a great job and would be very happy to present it to publishers.
I shall be writing about a very interesting and unusual person who lives near Cambridge on a subject totally unrelated to my normal work. You will hear all about it in due course.
So I’ve opened the bubbly, and would like to thank Richard Havers again for his continued support. He is an amazing guy.
P.S. I promise I will catch up with visiting my regular blogs soon. I have a hectic weekend ahead of me too, studying a business plan with fellow trustees at Headway Cambridgeshire tomorrow and then walking with the Ramblers around Lavenham, a most beautiful old town I adore, on Sunday.
Congratulations and well done. I hope you have a lovely weekend as well.
Wonderful news, Ellee! Congratulations. 🙂
Congratulations and well done Ellee. Can’t wait to read more and find out who you are writing about. You must be excited and proud 🙂
You deserve all the success. Wonderful news. Thanks for letting us share it.
CONGRATS!
Michelle
Congratulations Ellie 🙂
Congratulations! 🙂
Ellee, You flatter me too much, but If I ever need some PR I’m coming straight to you! Onwards and upwards!
Wow! Very exciting!!
Excellent. Well done, Ellee!
Congratulations, Ellee! You certainly do have reason to pop open the bubbly! With regard to your previous post on Math classes – it was never my strength, but I did manage to pass it. But I don’t think it’s a prerequisite here for university, unless you’re going into Sciences or other such programs. this will be difficult to surpass for you, parents, and all the medium-level kids. Hope it works out for your son.
looking forward to joining you on that walk Ellee….
Many congrats, Ellee, well done and best luck for continued success. I too have some work to finish next week, have a poorly babe and next week hope to kick back a little so am giving the net a rest for a bit. Please miss my blog as much as I’ll miss yours 😉
PS: Have been listening to a few old tunes from my going out days on YouTube and peppering my emails and comments with memories as they come down the headphones – worse than drunken blogging, folk might open these and think ‘huh??’, I’ll need at least two weeks off in the hope they forget. Youth is another country.
Congratulations, Ellee! I think I will open a bottle of spumante and drink to you! Auguri from Sicily xx
Congratulations Ellee. That is wonderful news. Everything is coming together for you.
ELLEE: I AM SO DELIGHTED FOR YOU. YOU DESERVE THIS AND I HOPE YOU’LL RAISE A GLASS OF BUBBLY ACROSS THE POND TO ME!!!!:D
FANTASTIC!
Congratulations, ellee, that is great news! What a lovely Fridday that must have been.
