I returned home from an exhilarating day at the Conservative Women’s Organisation’s 75th Annual Conference to discover that I was Iain Dale’s blog of the week.
He mentioned me on Channel 4 News’s Morning Report podcast and radio programme. Iain kindly said I was one of the “best Tory bloggerettes”, that I was “feisty, independent and curious in an inquisitive way.”
Thanks Iain, it was a perfect homecoming, I shall try and live up to your expectations!
No, you’re not one of the best Tory blogerettes. Iain’s a little astray here. You’re one of the best bloggers in the sphere. Full stop. [‘Period’ for our American friends.]
Congratulations, Ellee. Well deserved.
Likewise. Excellent stuff Ellee
We’ll soon be seeing you on Question Time no doubt – or at the very least 18 Doughty St. I’d like to see one of those Ellee tv performances, I keep missing them.
Having said all that, your the only female Tory blogger I know of. Not sure about saying ‘blogerette’, where did that come from? Is that a new word?
Courtney, There are a few other female Tory bloggers,eg Bel is Thinking, Martine Martin and Andrea Leadsom, and some other Conservative candidates, maybe somebody could add to this, it’s a bit early in the morning for me and I’m heading off to a networking breakfast now.
I think I prefer being known as a blogger, rather than a bloggerette, it sounds far too fluffy.
Congratulations Ellee:)
I enjoy your blog Ellee and I am a Lib Dem.
BTW, your “Ellee’s Flickr Feed” is overlapping your blog entries. is there something up with your settings ?
Thanks everyone, your comments are much appreciated. I have had the additional honour of being included in John Wilkes’ Top 5 blogs too:
