While many people in Trudy’s position would have become depressed and wanted to give up on life, she regarded it as a challenge to prevent others suffering in the same way.

As a result, she is organising the 1st International Conference on Complex Regional Pain Syndrome for the health profession, and has the support of the the British Pain Society. It is being held in Central Methodist Hall, Westminster on 5th December and she is appealing for donations of paper, cards, and envelopes. I dare say some cash would be gratefully received too.

Trudy has had to organise fund-raising for this major event herself, booking the best world’s top experts on this rare and devastating illness, negotiating hotel rates, catering arrangements and sorting out all the admin while being in considerable pain.

Trudy is a truly exceptional woman and I know that local MP Malcolm Moss feels the same way, which is why he will be attending the conference. I am offering some voluntary press consultancy to give the event a boost.

Please email Trudy on trudy@rsdhelp.fsnet.co.uk if you feel you can help. She will be over the moon to have your support too.
