Orya and his business partnerMartin hope to become king of online greeting cards. Their unique feature is that they handwrite the message and post them to the recipient.
Having recently launched Scribble.co.uk, Orya has been amazed by the power of viral marketing. As a result of being mentioned on a top US blogsite, he has notched up almost 200 clients, including businesses who want to show their appreciation to customers and employees.
I took some pubilicity pics and liked this one, showing Orya’s lovely beaming smile as the cards blew over. Of course, we had to issue a perfectly posed shot, which we did eventually get. And here is our press release.
If you haven’t ordered your Father’s Day card yet, then look no further, Orya will see to it for you.
Update 20th June 2006: We have had this excellent coverage in today’s Cambridge Evening News. Orya’s smiling face (from my photo) was put on the front page of the Biz News supplement and he was the p3 lead story again, with my pic.

Well done Elle great press release its such a small world. I know Orya through his mother working with Suzanne.
Lets hope you can get it into some of the newspapers etc in time for Fathers day.
Hi Ellee, thanks for your comment in my blog. I haven’t heard before about knitting. What’s that? I suppose it’s not the litheral meaning, is it?
Your blog is interesting, I love Politics and got a degree in Political Science, and a Masters in Communication. I like Public Affairs and work in the Media Relations area of an official body in Argentina.
My blog is not a very “serious” one. I hope to have some day one about communication in general, in order to exchange points of view with other colleagues.
Regards from Buenos Aires (I’ve been twice in London),
Ignacio
Hi Ignacio, great to hear from you. Can you dance the salsa? I’ve taken it up this year.
If you start a blog in English, then you can communicate with me and many others, I’d like to read your posts.
Good luck to Orya and Martin. I searched the internet for just such a service about 6 months ago and didn’t find one. I’ve bookmarked their site for future use !
How about suggesting to them that they link in a similar service in Australia and the US ? We are always leaving sending cards to Australia too late – if they were posted locally it would solve that problem.
Thanks man in a shed, we are planning to offer international delivery shortly. This would include local delivery in certain countries such as the US and Canada.
I’ve finally setup the Scribble Blog, it’s not much yet needing some polish and posts, but we’ll post when international shipping is available so you might want to track the feed there.
Thanks for the post Ellee and for the nice comments Geoff.
Well done Ellee. Here is the link to the Cambridge Evening News article about Orya. http://tinyurl.com/hrugn
